RE: Goodyear G670's whats your experience?

The GY were OEM on my rig, at 28K minimal wear, no checking. I thought they rode harsh when we first bought it. Had it weighed 4 corners and adjusted to the proper pressure and now they ride and handle great.

RE: How are you and your RV during these times?

We've done about 12 K miles this year, down south in the winter NE over the summer. We will head south the first of the year, hopefully the house will be sold by then as the market is still ok in our area. * This post was edited 10/09/08 11:51am by an administrator/moderator * Could someone PM as to why my post was edited?

RE: Diesel Fuel Near Hershey PA

Fuel is cheaper in NJ I wouldn't top off before leaving Hershey. It's only about 100 miles. You should save 10-12 cents a gallon jmo

RE: Here comes Kyle, stay or go?

Make sure your water tank is full as the CGs use wells and will most likely be without power. The last I saw was it was to hit around Eastport which is as far north as you can go on the coast so BH might not take a direct hit. either way I would pull in the slides, and disconnect from the power in case of surges.

RE: 2008 Class A Diesel Fleetwood Bounder

You may want to consider the 2009 Fleetwood Bounder Diesel as it comes equipped with the PowerBridge Chassis, a variant of the American Coach/Revolution Liberty Chassis using Freightliner modules versus the Liberty's Spartan clips. You'll likely experience a smoother, quieter ride from the PowerBridge chassis coach. Also, the PowerBridge allows for flat floor pass-through storage bays. Note that the '09 Bounder Diesel comes equipped with the ISB 340HP/660lb-ft torque engine, versus the '08 Bounder equipped with an ISB 325HP/750lb-ft torque powerplant. Ditto on the '09 the powerbidge chassis is worth looking into. The storage is much improved.

RE: Florida Keys, Where do I stay??

Well if cost isn't the deciding factor Blue Water Key, is my first choice. For a taste of the old keys try Geiger Key Marina. Very friendly group of campers. Old time water front cafe with entertainment 4 nights a week. Some of the sites are bulkhead frontage on the water with dockage. Fish in front of your RV.

RE: New 2007 Fleetwood Discovery

Very satisfied with our '05. The biggest change in the '07 was increased headroom. Saw the '09 powerbridge chassis at Hershey. The improvements are many, they will have to deal to move leftovers IMO. There is a price uptick on the '09 but the difference in the coaches are great. I personally would go with the '09 Providence to get the 360hp 1050ftlb engine.

RE: Suggestions for winter in Tampa area

Stayed at Bay Bayou and Tampa East last winter. Other than the dryer problem I would say hands down Bay Bayou is a better value.

RE: Mt Desert Narrows Campground, Bar Harbor, ME

We spent 2 weeks at the end of July at Narrows II as the Narrows was booked in our time slot. Same company, new workampers. The help was great. Icecream socials, potluck night, Elvis night and activities for the kids(we didn't bring any) We were on a hill with water view, only 1 waterfront site has the hookups arranged for pull in, which for the price you should be able to look at the water through the windshield(jmo). The place was maintained nicely. I was surprised that it was as empty as it was. The grass on the sites was browned up from lack of rain but was trimmed up. I would definitely go back. As an added bonus we had booked for a week and when we extended 4 days the gave us a 20% discount.

RE: New Jersey MH length restrictions??

Don't talk on your cell phone in Jersey while driving....New law and my girl who lives there got stopped last week. also, it is illegal to pump your own gas there. Last time she visited me in Missouri, she made me show her how to put gas in a car. She's lived there all her life and had never done it...lol Just curious, but how is the gas pumping thing done for diesel? Does someone pump the fuel for the truckers at Flying J? Been my experience that on the TP , GSP & ACE the stations pump for you. On the none limited access roads the truck stops let you pump your own.

I'm sorry I can't help but I'm sure he's already checked ebay and google. I would assume he's asking about your experience with price and service.
